Breaking Down "Essentials of Social Media Marketing"
This semester my Principles of Social Media course covered the textbook " Essentials of Social Media Marketing ". Students were encouraged to read each chapter before attending the corresponding lectures. Each chapter included multiple subunits, a slideshow presentation and four to five questions designed to reinforce key concepts. The textbook explored various social media platforms along with different outreach and engagement methods used in everyday marketing. Photo from Amazon Chapter 1 introduced social media marketing and explained that there are about 5.24 billion active social media users worldwide. It also outlined nine essential skills that social media managers should possess, including community management, organized and effective, good writing skills, creative, adaptive, sales and customer service, strategic focus, decisive and analysis and search engine optimization.
