Exam One Review
Since we do not have an assigned chapter for this week, I am going to write about what has stood out to me in the six chapters we have covered.
In Chapter 1, I learned that there are roughly 5.24 billion active social media users. This number is significantly higher than I expected. I also read about AI-influencers. I do not follow any of them. I did not realize how popular and beneficial they are for businesses. I also made note of the nine skills that social media managers should possess/be efficient in: community management, organized and effective, good writing skills, creative, adaptive, sales and customer service, strategic focus, decisive and analysis and Search Engine Optimization driven.
In Chapter 2, I learned what makes up my personal brand and how to identify it.
In Chapter 3, I learned vocabulary words that I did not know before, such as tuning, SEO and domain authority. Something that stood out to me was the number of posts per day on social platforms, all of which were higher than I guessed.

In Chapter 4, I was surprised to learn that Facebook is the largest social media platform with 3.07 billion active monthly users. I also thought it had more female users until reading in the chapter that roughly 57% of users are men.
In Chapter 5, it is noted that Instagram has over 2 billion active monthly users. After hearing Facebook’s number, I thought that Instagram would have been higher. I was also surprised to learn the biggest age group on Instagram is 25-34. I expected it to be in the 18-24 range.
In Chapter 12, I learned how to set up a blog, what a vlog is and the importance of webinars. I did not know that webinars are usually free for attendees.
Wishing everyone the best of luck on the first test!
